IXI-UMS and the Service SMS
Sending and Receiving Short Messages (SMS)
IXI-UMS, serVonic's powerful unified messaging server, supports the service SMS. Therewith, you can send short messages to mobile participants client/server-based, directly from the workstation. Depending on the technical equipment, you can also receive short messages at the workstation. With IXI-UMS and the service SMS, you can send short messages in the PSTN (e.g. ISDN) as well as in the mobile network (e.g. GSM).
The service SMS of the IXI-UMS server can be used as stand-alone (pure SMS-server) or as part of a complete unified messaging system with IXI-UMS, that integrates the services Fax, Voice, SMS and Mobile into a messaging system.
